Install iTerm2 via Homebrew cask or the official download, then confirm the app is present under /Applications.
Step 1
On macOS, install iTerm2: brew install --cask iterm2 . Or download the stable zip from https://iterm2.com/downloads.html and drag iTerm.app into /Applications.
Step 2
Open iTerm from Launchpad or Spotlight and confirm a terminal window starts.
Step 3
test -d /Applications/iTerm.app
