Install Obsidian

Install Obsidian from the official download page or via Homebrew/winget, then confirm the app launches.

  1. Step 1

    Install Obsidian from https://obsidian.md/download (macOS/Windows/Linux). Or: macOS brew install --cask obsidian ; Windows winget install -e --id Obsidian.Obsidian ; Linux use the AppImage/.deb from the download page or your preferred package source.

  2. Step 2

    Launch Obsidian once and confirm the vault picker or welcome screen opens.
